Aloo Rasa

This is a simple potato gravy dish. This dish is best had with puris. I usually make this rasa a bit thicker and add it as stuffing for dosas, to make masala dosa.


Cook Time: 30 mins


Ingredients

  • 2 Boiled potatoes

  • 1 Thinly sliced Tomatoes

  • 1 Thinly sliced onions

  • 1 tbsp Oil

  • 1 tsp Mustard seeds

  • 1 tsp Turmeric powder

  • 1 tsp Chilli powder

  • 1 tbsp Sambhar powder

  • Finely chopped coriander leaves, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Cube the boiled potatoes and keep aside

  2. In a pan, add the oil and splutter mustard seeds

  3. Add the turmeric powder and onions and saute till it becomes light brown

  4. Add the tomatoes and saute till it becomes mushy

  5. Add the sambhar powder, chilli powder, salt and mix well

  6. Add the potatoes, 1 cup of water and cook till done

  7. Once it is combined well, switch off the gas and garnish with coriander leaves
