This recipe is a resultant of apples lying at home for a while. I came up with my own recipe as nothing can go wrong here! Next time I will be trying this recipe with grated apples instead of a puree, to get some apple strands while eating. This can be made as a dessert of even a quick bhog during some festivals.
Prep Time: 10 mins
Cook Time: 30 mins
Ingredients
3 Fragrant apples
1/3 cup Brown or white sugar
2 tbsp broken cashew nuts
4 tbsp Ghee
1 tsp Cardamom powder
Instructions
Remove the skin of the apples and cut into big cubes, grind it into a puree (you can even grate the apples)
In a pan take 1 tbsp ghee and roast the cashew nuts, keep aside
In the same pan take 1/2 tbsp ghee and saute the apple puree till it becomes dry and the moisture goes away
Add the sugar and 1 tbsp ghee and saute well till it starts to leave the pan
Add the roasted cashew nuts and the remaining ghee and saute for one more minute
Switch off the flame and add cardamom powder
