This is a very interesting combo of cabbage and chana dal and goes very well with rotis.
Cook Time: 30 mins
Ingredients
1 cup Grated cabbage
1/4 cup chana dal
Salt, to taste
3 Slit green chillies
1/2 tbsp Ginger garlic paste (optional)
1 Finely chopped onions
1 tsp Chilli powder
3 tbsp Fresh grated coconut
1 tbsp Oil
1 tsp Cumin seeds
1 tsp turmeric powder
Instructions
Soak chana dal in hot water for an hour, cook this without making it mushy
In a pan add oil and splutter cumin seeds
Add the green chillies, turmeric powder, ginger garlic and saute well
Add onions and saute till it becomes translucent
Add the cabbage, drained chana dal and salt and close and cook till cooked
Add chilli powder and saute for 5 minutes
Lastly garnish with grated coconut.
Serve hot with phulkas or paratha
