This is a snack that can be had with you evening tea or when you need something to munch on. Not very unhealthy and can be had without guilt!
Prep Time: 30 mins
Cook Time: 1 hr 40 mins
Ingredients
1 cup Cornmeal
1/4 cup Parmesan cheese
1/4 cup Cheddar cheese
1/2 cup Olive oil
Salt, to taste
1/4 cup Finely chopped coriander leaves
2 tsps Chilli flakes
Buttermilk, as needed to make a thick batter
1 tsp Baking powder
1/2 tsp Baking soda
Instructions
In a big bowl add all the ingredients and mix well
Add buttermilk slowly, enough to make a thick cake batter (quantity depends on the quality of the cornmeal)
Grease a bread tin and pour this batter and bake it at 180 degrees C preheated oven for 35-40 mins till the top of the cake and sides turn brown
If you insert a toothpick, it should come out clean. Cool completely.
Cut thin slices approx half an inch slices
Line them in a greased baking tray
Spray olive oil and bake at 150 degrees C in the lowest tray till it becomes golden brown on the top
Cool them completely and serve with tea
Notes
You can add mozzarella cheese on top when you are baking the sticks for the second time.
