This is an easy halwa, similar to the texture of the famous Karachi halwa. Karachi halwa is made of wheat and is quite tedious to make, but this is an easier version.
Cook Time: 30 mins
Ingredients
1 cup Cornflour
3 cups Sugar
4 cups Water
3 tbsp + 1 tbsp for greasing Ghee
3 tbsp Sliced almonds
1 tsp Cardamom powder
Instructions
In a mixing bowl add the custard powder, water and sugar and mix thoroughly (making sure there are no lumps)
Grease a plate with ghee and keep aside
In a non stick pan, add the custard powder mixture and start cooking on medium flame till it becomes translucent
Add the cardamom powder and the chopped almonds/pistachios and continue cooking till you will find it a little hard to stir. It may or may not leave the sides of the pan.
Pour this on to the greased plate, tap it two times for it to settle and leave it to cool
Grease a knife and cut into diamond shapes
