The name says it all! This is a healthy cracker made with wheat flour and outs. I also used jaggery instead of sugar to make them healthier.
Prep Time: 1 hr 15 mins
Cook Time: 30 mins
Ingredients
1 and 1/2 cups Wheat flour
1 and 1/2 cups Powdered oats
1/2 tsp Baking soda
Salt, to taste
1 cup Powdered jaggery
8 tbsp or 113 gms Cold butter
7 tbsp or as needed Milk
Instructions
In a large mixing bowl whisk wheat flour, oats flour, soda and salt
Add the powdered jaggery and mix well making sure there are no lumps of jaggery
Rub the butter into the mixture well with your hands to resemble bread crumbs
Add cold milk 1 tbsp at a time and bring together into a tight dough (I needed about 7 tbsp)
Bind this into a cling foil and refrigerate for an hour
Roll this in between 2 parchment papers into a paratha
Cut out circles with the help of a bottle or can opener
Prick through out with a fork and line them on a greased baking tray
Bake them in a preheated oven at 180 degrees C for 15-20 minutes or till done, keeping a watch
You will not find any difference between these biscuits and the store bought biscuits!
