These are regular cookies topped with M&Ms. Nothing too unique about this recipe, except they look colourful with M&Ms instead of chocolate chips. I generally make these and give it to kids during Halloween. I had made these in 2 batches, one was the american style which was slightly softer inside and another batch which was crisp.. You just need to make in low temperature for a little longer to make it crisp. Both were yummy
Prep Time: 1 hr 20 mins
Cook Time: 20 mins
Ingredients
260 gms Maida
1 & 1/4 tsp Baking soda
A pinch of salt
170 gms Butter
100 gms Powdered sugar
130 gms Brown sugar
1 tsp Vanilla essence
2 flax eggs ( 2tbsp flax powder mixed well with 6 tbsp water and kept aside for half hour)
M&Ms, for garnish (I needed a cup)
Instructions
In a mixing vessel, add flour and whisk in salt and baking soda well
In another bowl, add butter and sugars and cream it well till it becomes airy
Add vanilla essence, flax eggs and mix it again
Next add the flour mixture and very little M&M’s and fold in gently, make a dough, wrap in a cling foil and refrigerate it for an hour - adding M&M at this stage is optional
Make equal sized balls and line them in a greased baking tray
Slightly pat them with the back of a cup and stick the M&Ms on top
Bake them in a preheated oven at 180 degrees C for 15-20 minutes, keeping a close watch not to burn them, turn them the other side half way
Cool them completely
