Ingredients
190 ml Milk
120 gms Butter
150 gms powdered sugar
2 tsp Cardamom powder (if you use essence, use 1 tsp)
240 gms Maida
60 ml Curd
1 tsp Baking powder
1/4 tsp Baking soda
A pinch of Salt
100 gms Grated mawa
1/3 cup Slivered almonds and pistachios, for garnish
Instructions
In a wide pan, add the maida, baking powder, soda, cardamom powder, salt and whisk it well
In a wide mixing bowl, add sugar and butter and cream well till it becomes light and airy
Add the curd and beat it again
Add the dry ingredients to the butter mixture and fold in gently
Add the grated mawa, milk and gently mix till it gets well combined (add milk little by little - the mixture should be spreadable
Pour this into a greased round baking tray
Garnish the batter with slivered pistachios and bake at 180 degrees C preheated oven for 50-60 minutes, keeping a watch till the top and sides are light golden
