Who has not heard of this simple yet gorgeous rice variety. Very easy to make and best had with dal makhni.
Cook Time: 20 mins
Ingredients
1 cup Jeera rice
Salt to taste
3 tbsp Cumin seeds
3 tbsp Ghee
2 Bay leaf
Instructions
Soak the rice for 15 mins
In a pressure cooker, add ghee and splutter bay leaves
Add in the cumin seeds and saute till it becomes pink and well roasted
Add the drained rice and saute for 5 mins
Add 1 and 1/2 cups of water, salt and cook for 1 whistle
Serve hot, best served with dal makhni
