Ingredients
2 and 1/2 cups Maida
1 cup Warm milk
1 and 1/2 tsp Yeast
1 tsp Sugar
Salt, to taste
1 and 1/2 tsp Baking powder
2 tbsp + 1 tbsp Butter
Kiri cheese cubes, as needed
Milk and sesame seeds, for brushing and garnishing
Instructions
In a mixing bowl add warm milk and dissolve the sugar first
Dissolve the yeast stirring thoroughly and leave it aside for 10 minutes for the yeast to bloom
In another bowl add the maida, baking powder and salt and whisk well
Add this into the bloomed yeast mixture, add butter and start mixing into a dough kneading well
Grease the dough with 1 tbsp butter and keep covered with a wet napkin in a warm place for 1.5 hrs
Once the dough rises, punch it and knead it again
Cut equal size balls of the dough
Flatten one ball with your palms, add 1/4 of the cheese cube into it, seal and smoothen the ball once again
Line all the balls in this manner on a greased baking tray
Cover with wet cloth and keep aside for half an hour till it again rises
Brush them with milk and sprinkle with sesame seeds on top pressing them slightly
Bake them at 160 degrees C pre-heated oven for around 30 minutes keeping a watch, remove as soon as the top and sides are golden in colour
Have it hot with morning tea or coffee
