Ingredients
1 cup jeera rice
1 Lemon juice
Salt, to taste
For tempering
2 tbsp Oil
3 Red chillies
1 tsp turmeric powder
4-5 curry leaves
1 tsp hing
2 tsps Chana dal
Instructions
Cook the rice till the grains are separate but cooked well
In a pan, add the oil and splutter mustard seeds
Add the chana dal and sauté till it becomes light brown
Add the chillies, hing and curry leaves and sauté for a minute
Add the lemon juice, 1 tbsp water and salt and mix well for a minute, switch off the gas
Add the rice and mix well
Best served with fried papad
