This is a very tasty cookie made with pineapple jam and nutella. Both taste yummy!

Prep Time: 15 mins

Cook Time: 45 mins

Ingredients

  • 1 and 1/2 cups Maida

  • 3/4 cups Powdered sugar

  • 1/2 cup Butter

  • 1/2 tsp Baking powder

  • 1/3 cup Milk

  • 1 tsp Vanilla essence

  • Jam or nutella for the sandwich, as required

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl add the butter, vanilla essence and sugar and mix well till creamy

  2. Add the maida mixed with baking powder and mix well

  3. Add the milk slowly to make a firm smooth dough

  4. Keep aside for 10 minutes

  5. Knead it well and roll into a thin roti (it should be slightly thicker than the normal phulkas)

  6. Cut desired shaped cookies in half the dough and bake in a preheated oven at 180 degrees C for 7-10 minutes, till the edges are light brown

  7. In the other half, make a smaller round hole and bake it in the same manner

  8. Apply nutella or jam in all the cookies without the holes (if you use Jam, sprinkle some sugar on top to resemble jam biscuits)

  9. Place the cookies with the hole on top and press lightly

  10. Your jam or nutella sandwich cookies are ready

Notes

  • You can use any jam of your choice or make jam out of fruits

  • To make jam, puree the fruits, add sugar and cook till you get jam consistency
