This is a very simple dal filled with the richness of spinach. My dal recipes are usually directly made in a pressure cooker with all the ingredients added because this is very simple and all the spices get well infused in the dal.

Ingredients
1/2 cup Tur dal
1/4 cup chana dal
1/4 cup Moong dal
1 cup Finely chopped spinach leaves
1/2 cup Finely chopped tomatoes
Salt, to taste
1 tbsp Coriander powder
2 tsps Chilli powder
1 tsp Garam masala
For tempering
1 tbsp Ghee
1 tsp Cumin seeds
1 tsp Turmeric powder
Instructions
Wash and soak the dals for half an hour
In a pressure pan, take ghee, splutter cumin seeds and add turmeric powder
Add the finely chopped tomatoes, salt and saute till it becomes mushy
Add the finely chopped spinach, coriander powder, chilli powder and garam masala and saute for 2 more minutes
Now add the dals and 2.5 cups of water and pressure cook for 2 whistles
Serve hot with rotis
