Set dosa is generally a thick and soft dosa, contrast to the crisp thin ones. The addition of methi seeds and poha gives the sponginess to this dosa. This is not cooked on both sides like the normal dosa. This is served as a pair and hence called set dosa.

Ingredients
2 cups Idli rice
1/2 cup Urad dal
1/3 tsp Methi seeds
Salt, to taste
1 cup Poha
Instructions
Soak the rice and the dal separately overnight
Next morning soak poha in 1 cup water for half an hour
Grind the dal and rice separately to a fine paste adding little water
Drain the water from the poha and grind that to a fine paste adding very little or no water. Add the ground poha, salt and mix well
Keep it closed in a warm place for fermenting for 8 hours, best is overnight
Take a ladle of batter, add this to a hot tawa, do not spread much
You will slowly see holes coming on top, drizzle oil in the sides and cover and cook only one side
Serve hot with chutney
