Sprouted Moong Dhokla (without overnight fermenting)

This is a very healthy dhokla with sprouted green moong.


Prep Time: 3 days

Cook Time: 30 mins


Ingredients

  • 2 cups Moong sprouts

  • 1 cup Raw rice

  • 2 tbsps urad dal

  • 5 green chillies

  • 1 Ginger

  • Salt to taste

  • 2 tbsp Curd

  • 1/2 tsps ENO

For tempering

  • 1 tbsp Oil

  • 1 tsp Mustard seeds

  • 1 tsp Cumin seeds

  • 1 tbsp Water

  • 3 Slit green chillies

Instructions

  1. Soak green moong dal over night, next morning drain it and keep it covered in the sieve for 4-5 days till you see sprouts

  2. The day you are grinding the batter, the previous night wash and soak rice and Urad dal in water.

  3. Grind the sprouts, rice, urad dal, salt, green chillies, ginger and curd to a fine paste

  4. Add ENO and mix well in one direction

  5. Keep it covered for 20 mins and let it ferment

  6. Grease dhokla plate and steam in a cooker for 15-20 mins till the toothpick comes clean

  7. In a pan take oil and splutter mustard seeds

  8. Add cumin, green chillies and water, cook for a min

  9. Garnish this on the doklas and cut into squares
