Sprouts Tikki

This is a very healthy recipe. Potato is added only for binding. You can add spices of your choice.


Prep Time: 5 days

Cook Time: 45 mins


Ingredients

  • 1 cup Green moong sprouts

  • 1 small Boiled and mashed Potatoes

  • Black salt to taste

  • Ginger garlic paste

  • Green chillies

  • 2 tsps Garam masala

  • 1 tsp Amchur powder

  • 1 tsp Cumin powder

  • as needed Finely chopped coriander leaves

  • 2 tbsps Besan

  • Oil for shallow frying

  • Chaat masala, for sprinkling

Instructions

  1. Wash the moong sprouts and soak in water overnight. Next morning drain the water and keep covered in the sieve for 3 days till you see sprouts.

  2. Put the sprouts in a chopper and grate it

  3. Add the mashed potatoes and all the spices and mash it to make a pliable mixture

  4. Make tikkis and keep aside

  5. Shallow fry them in a non stick pan on both sides till crisp

  6. Sprinkle chaat masala and serve hot with mint-yogurt dip

Notes

  • You can even make these tikkis in an airfryer. Air fry them till the crust gets brown.
