Vegetable Puffs

We used to get these veggie puffs in a cafe close to our office and I used to love having them for breakfast. It can be had as an evening snack along with tea as well. The filling is made with potatoes and mixed veggies and stuffed inside a puff pastry sheet and baked. Extremely tasty!



Prep Time: 30 mins Cook Time: 1 hr


Ingredients

  • Puff pastry squares as needed

For the filling

  • 1/2 cup Mixed frozen veggies

  • 1/2 cup Boiled potatoes cubed

  • 1/4 cup cubed paneer

  • 2 finely chopped onions

  • 1 tbsp Amchur powder

  • Salt, to taste

  • 1 tsp Cumin seeds

  • 1 tsp Turmeric powder

  • 1 tsp Chilli powder

  • 1 tsp Garam masala

  • 1 tbsp Oil

Instructions

  1. In a pan take oil and splutter cumin seeds. Add turmeric powder.

  2. Add the onions and saute till it becomes light brown

  3. Add the frozen vegetables, potatoes, paneer salt and saute well

  4. Add the amchur powder, chilli powder, garam masala and mix well

  5. Take a puff pastry square, add the filling on one half and fold it.

  6. Make indents with a fork and seal it well. Keep aside.

  7. Line them in a greased baking tray and bake for 25 mins at 180 degrees C
