Whole Green Moong Sundal

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Whole green moong

  • 1 tsp Turmeric powder

  • Salt, to taste

  • 2 tbsp Fresh grated coconut

For tempering

  • 1 tbsp Oil

  • 1 tsp Mustard seeds

  • 5-7 Curry leaves

  • 1 tsp Hing

  • 4 red chillies

Instructions

  1. Cook the moong dal along with turmeric powder and salt in water till it is cooked and separate (do not pressure cook it as it will get mashy). Drain and cool.

  2. In a pan, take oil and splutter mustard seeds. Add hing, curry leaves and red chillies.

  3. Add the drained dal and saute well, add salt if required

  4. Garnish with grated coconut
