Ingredients
1 cup Yellow moong dal
Salt, to taste
1 tsp Turmeric powder
2 tbsp Fresh grated coconut
For tempering
1 tbsp Coconut oil
1 tsp Mustard seeds
4 red chillies
1 tsp Hing
5-7 Curry leaves
Instructions
Soak the dal for half an hour and then drain
Boil the moong dal in an open pan with turmeric powder and salt. Drain the water once cooked (the grains should be separate).
In a pan take oi, splutter mustard seeds and red chillies and add hing
Add the cooked dal and mix well
Garnish with coconut
